Coach Valerie Valentine
Coach Valentine received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Mathematics from New Mexico State University in 1985. She is currently teaching 8th Grade U.S. History at OMS. Coach Valentine has been directing/coaching extra-curricular teams since 1998. Her teams and members have won over 50 titles including National Champions and National Outstanding Choreography. Coach Valentine has also sponsored and co-sponsored a variety of organizations and activities inclucing Criminal Justice Student Association, Mass Communication Club, REL Genealogical Society, Mock Presidential Debates and Elections, and various field trips. |
Coach Becca Valentine
Coach Becca is a Dance Education Major at Texas State University. Coach Becca was a member of the Texas State Strutters during the 2016-2017 school year. Before becoming a Strutter, she invested over 10 years combined in competitive gymnastics, All Star Cheer and Dance, as well as school cheer and dance. As a gymnast, she was ranked 9th all-around in the TAAF State Gymnastics meet in 2006. As a school cheerleader, she was a member of an NCA National Champion team, a cheer officer, and one of the first sophomores to make varsity cheer at her high school. As a member of Spirit of Tyler All Star Cheer and Dance, she was part of a long standing tradition of excellence with over 100 national titles, an NDA National Champion team, and multiple World Championship bids. Coach Becca is currently working with the DVISD LEAD Program as a Dance Teacher and 6th Grade Cheer Coach at OMS. |
